Prisoner by Ryan Adams

After the quiet contemplation of his self-titled LP, Ryan Adams returns with a louder, brasher record taking in influences from AC/DC and ELO, his first recorded album since his split with wife Mandy Moore. 

Adams handled the majority of the production himself, but he enlisted the help of Rolling Stones producer Don Was to cut down the 80 songs he’d written to a more manageable 12.

The singer has worked on the album with Cam Blackwood, who has worked with both George Ezra and Florence and The Machine in the past, as well as production duo My Riot, who have worked closely in the past with London Grammar and Birdy.
