Brian Wilson to take new album No Pier Pressure out for full UK arena tour

The Beach Boys' maestro Brian Wilson has announced a full UK arena tour for later this year.

The singer, who releases his new album No Pier Pressure on April 6th, will play eight UK shows later this year. 

The tour begins on September 18th at Liverpool's Echo Arena and finishes nine days later at Glasgow's SSE Hydro Arena on September 27th. The trek will also see Wilson play shows in Cardiff, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds and Manchester. 

Support on the tour will come from rock veterans America and former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins.

No Pier Pressure is Wilson's 11th solo album and include collaborations with She & Him’s Zooey Deschanel, Capital Cities frontman Sebu Simonian and country singer Kacey Musgraves.

No Pier Pressure will also include appearances from Wilson’s former Beach Boys bandmates, with Al Jardine, David Marks and Blondie Chapman all featuring on the LP, while Don Was will also be joining the proceedings as part of Wilson’s backing band.

Chapman and Jardine are also confirmed to join him for the UK tour.
