City And Colour announce new album If I Should Go Before You

City And Colour has announced full details of his new album, which is to be titled If I Should Go Before You.

The album is Dallas Green's follow-up to 2013's The Hurry And The Harm (which you can preview and purchase on the right-hand side of the page) and will be released on October 9th.

You can hear the album's opening track 'Woman' by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

IfI Should Go Before You was recorded in Nashville with Green's regular backing band of Jack Lawrence on bass, Dante Schwebel on guitar, Doug MacGregor on drums and Matt Kelly on pedal steel guitar and keys, with Green also acting as producer.

Speaking about the album and working with the band, Green said: "They (the band) inspired me to want to create new music, just to create it with them - I don’t think I wrote these songs for the band, per se, but I certainly wrote them because of the band.”

He continues: "Anybody who has seen us play will understand that this is the best representation of what we do live that we have ever recorded. I was so excited about being able to make and record an album with these guys that it just flowed. I felt so confident about their abilities to make all of my ideas come true.”
