Composer Hans Zimmer announces first ever shows in the UK

Hans Zimmer, the composer behind the film scores for dozens of Hollywood films including The Dark Knight Rises, Inception and 12 Years a Slave, has announced his first ever concert dates in the UK, with two dates at London's Eventim Apollo confirmed for October 10th and 11th.

The German-born composer began his career as a member of Trevor Horn's group The Buggles, whose 'Video Killed The Radio Star' became a huge hit in the 1980s. Since then the Oscar-winning composer has written music for a host of films and his new show, entitled Hans Zimmer Revealed, will include performances of many of his best-known scores.

Zimmer is set to be joined onstage by a full orchestra and said about the upcoming concerts: "Performing a concert series like this is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am thrilled that that time has finally come. I am very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before."
