Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' voted greatest love song of all time by hmv staff and customers

Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' has been voted as the greatest love song of all time by hmv staff and customers.

The track topped the poll ahead of iconic tracks from George Michael, Elton John and Taylor Swift.

The vote was conducted with over 2000 hmv staff asked to shortlist songs from a list of classics and modern love songs. The shortlist was then voted on by the public via a Twitter poll and Sheeran came out on top.

Seal's classic 'Kiss From A Rose' came in second with George Michael's 'Careless Whisper' in third place and tracks from Taylor Swift and Etta James rounding out the top five.
