Ex-My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way reveals title of his debut solo album

Former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has revealed that his debut solo album will be titled Hesitant Alien.

The singer, who will release the album later this year, has not confirmed a release date for the record, but has released one track titled 'Action Cat', which you can hear below.

Way will make his first ever live appearance as a solo artist at this summer's Reading and Leeds Festivals, opening up the NME/BBC Radio 1 Stage.

In recent interviews, Way has made it clear that the album represents a departure from his work with My Chemical Romance, citing the likes of Blur, Pulp and Gang Of Four as key influences.

My Chemical Romance split up in 2013, with all four of the band now working on solo projects. They released a Greatest Hits compilation titled May Death Never Stop You (which you can preview on the right of the page) earlier this year.
