Hear Muse preview Drones with new track 'Mercy'

Muse have previewed their new album Drones with 'Mercy', the third track to be revealed from the album, you can hear it below.

Drones will be released on June 8th and has been produced by Robert 'Mutt' Lange, who is best known for producing Def Leppard's Hysteria and AC/DC's Back In Black and Highway To Hell. The band previously unveiled tracks titled 'Psycho' and 'Dead Inside', which you can hear below.

Speaking about the album, frontman Matt Bellamy said: "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."

The album is the follow-up to the band's 2012 LP The 2nd Law (which you can preview on the right-hand side of the page). The band will headline this summer's Download Festival and are strongly rumoured to be headlining Bestival later this year.
