hmv's Next Big Thing... #127 Miss Vincent

Every Wednesday we recommend a brand new artist who we think you're going to love. This week we bring you dark-hearted punks Miss Vincent...

Who Are They?

Hailing from the sunny coast of Southampton, Miss Vincent consist of singer/guitarist Alex Marshall, guitarist Lawrie Pattison, drummer Jack Donnelly and bassist Owain Mainwaring. They've been a going concern for four years now but things are starting to motor with their hotly anticipated new EP Somewhere Else.

Who Do They Sound Like?

Take the pace of The Ramones, the black humour and wit of Alkaline Trio and the melodies of early Elvis Costello, you've got Miss Vincent.

Why Should I Be Excited?

Driving power pop with pace and enormous choruses, it's a pretty good combo.

Can I Hear Something?

Absolutely. Their new single 'Cold Hands' is below for you and you can check out the EP it's taken from here in hmv's digital store.
