hmv's Next Big Thing... #81 SeaWitches

Every Wednesday we recommend a brand new artist who we think you're going to love. This week we bring you swirling Scouse rockers SeaWitches...

Who Are They?

SeaWitches loosely formed in 2007 and consist of singer/guitarist Jo Herring, guitarist Jamie Jenkin, bassist Saskia Clapton and drummer Jams Ward. After some successful gigs in their adopted hometown of Liverpool they caught the attention of Bill Ryder-Jones, former guitairst with The Coral, who has produced their new single.

Who Do They Sound Like?

Imagine the psycheledic swirl of Jefferson Airplane, the power of Echo and the Bunnymen with the melodies of the folkier ends of Fleetwood Mac, that's about the size of it.

Why Should I Be Excited?

Incredible guitars, driving melodies and a witchy (of course) undertone to everything, it's an extremely heady brew.

Can I Hear Something?

Absolutely. You can hear their new single 'Skylight' below and pick up their debut single 'Stars' here in our download store.
