Katy Perry to headline Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hull

Katy Perry is to headline Radio 1's Big Weekend in Hull.

Perry, who is currently readying the follow-up to her 2013 album PRISM, joins the likes of Kings Of Leon, Stormzy and Little Mix at the two-day event, which takes place over the weekend of May 27th and 28th. Perry will headline the first night

Speaking about the booking, the singer said: "Radio 1’s Big Weekend is always a blast and I’m so happy to be able to make it to Hull alongside the incredible line-up."

Perry has been working with producers Max Martin, Shellback and Duke Dumont on the album, which will feature new single 'Chained To The Rhythm."

The album will not include Perry's 2016 summer single 'Rise', which was released to soundtrack US network NBC's coverage of the Olympic Games.
