Lamb Of God's Chris Adler denies drumming on new Slipknot album

Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler has denied rumours that he has provided drums for the new album from Slipknot.

The Iowa metallers parted ways with longtime sticksman Joey Jordison in December and have not revealed who has played drums on their new studio album, which is due for release later this year.

Speculation grew that Adler had played on the album when he jokingly told ABC News that he didn't "recall doing it" while not issuing a full denial. However, he has now definitely denied any involvement with the album.

Addressing rumours that he had played on the album, Adler said in a statement: "I’ve received even more questions about my involvement with Slipknot since the ABC interview I did recently. The interview was originally about my new whiskey bar, but of course took a turn into the gossip of the day. As I told her, I’ve had and have nothing to do with it. I’m flattered with the association and comparisons, but I have no involvement in their record."

Earlier this month Slipknot released their first new material for over six years with a new track named 'The Negative One', you can hear the track below.
