Lana Del Rey confirms new album Honeymoon due in September
There’s been keen speculation about a new Lana Del Rey album throughout much of 2015. And now it appears Honeymoon will follow-up 2014’s smash Ultraviolence this September.
During a show in Ridgefield, Washington on Friday, the singer let slip that the LP would be out in September, according to reports on Reddit via Stereogum and quoted by Spin.com. There doesn’t appear to me much information beyond that although as Stereogum notes, Del Rey commented on a fan’s Instagram post earlier this week saying that it would be a “beautiful retro future record” and that she already has two videos shot for it.
Previous press interviews would seem to confirm the appearance of at least two tracks on Honeymoon: "Music to Watch Boys To" and the Nina Simone classic "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.” Del Rey has also been quoted as saying the new disc will be "very different from the last one and similar to the first two.”
The countdown is officially on.
