Liam Gallagher signs new record deal, debut solo album coming in 2017
Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has signed a new record deal and will release his debut solo album in 2017.
The singer, whose band Beady Eye split up in 2015, has inked a new deal with Warner Brothers and will begin work on a new LP immediately.
Speaking about the deal, Gallagher said: "Very excited to be signing to the mighty Warner Brothers; looking forward to making some super sweet sounds. Keep the faith!"
Phil Christie, President, Warner Bros. Records UK added: “Liam’s one of the all-time greats - brilliant, distinctive, controversial and captivating. The album he’s currently recording is big, bold and heartfelt, and it feels important and culturally relevant."
Gallagher joins his brother Noel in working with Warner Brothers. The older Gallagher's label Sour Mash's distribution is handled by the company.
