Muse announce full details of new album Drones and intimate UK tour
Muse have announced full details of their much-awaited new album Drones.
The album will be released on June 8th and has been produced by Robert 'Mutt' Lange, who is best known for producing Def Leppard's Hysteria and AC/DC's Back In Black and Highway To Hell.
Speaking about the album, frontman Matt Bellamy said: "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."
Muse will preview the album later today with the release of new track 'Psycho', which will go online at 6pm tonight (March 12th). The album's first single proper is 'Dead Inside' and that will be released on March 23rd.
The album is the follow-up to the band's 2012 LP The 2nd Law (which you can preview on the right-hand side of the page) and you can see the artwork below.
The tracklisting for Drones is as follows:
