Muse to release "heavy" new album next year

Muse have told fans that they will be releasing a new album next year and have promised it will be "heavy". 

The Devon trio released their sixth album The 2nd Law in October 2012 and embarked on an extensive world tour in the months that folllowed, but have been fairly quiet recently. 

The news that they are working on a new record came after frontman Matt Bellamy replied to a tweet from a fan who asked when the band would be back with a new album. His reply is below.

Muse's most recent release was a live album titled Live At Rome Olympic Stadium, it came out in December.
