Muse unveil 'Psycho', the first track from new album Drones

Muse have unveiled 'Psycho', the first track to be revealed from their much-anticipated new album Drones, click below to listen to it.

'Psycho', which is built around a swaggering guitar riff and distorted vocals, matches early reports that suggested that the band's new material would be a return to their rock roots.

Drones will be released on June 8th and has been produced by Robert 'Mutt' Lange, who is best known for producing Def Leppard's Hysteria and AC/DC's Back In Black and Highway To Hell.

Speaking about the album, frontman Matt Bellamy said: "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."

The first single proper is from Drones is titled 'Dead Inside' and that will be released on March 23rd.

The album is the follow-up to the band's 2012 LP The 2nd Law (which you can preview on the right-hand side of the page) and you can see the artwork below.
