My Chemical Romance end reunion rumours, confirm deluxe re-release of The Black Parade

My Chemical Romance have issued a statement and confirmed that they will not be reforming.

Speculation had gone into overdrive over the last 48 hours after the group's Twitter account, which had been inactive for more than a year, suddenly came to life with a brand new logo, video and the promise of an event on September 23rd.

Now, however, the band have posted a statement in which they have made it clear that there is no planned reunion, but instead, a new re-release of the band's all-conquering 2006 album Welcome To The Black Parade. You can read the statement below:

The re-release will come out on September 23rd with full details of the new features to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

You can check out the band's back catalogue, including 2014 Greatest Hits collection May Death Never Stop You, here in hmv's online store.
