My Record Collection by Bipolar Sunshine

In My Record Collection, we dig down to the bottom of musicians' souls to find out what the most treasured parts of their record collection are. This week, it's the turn of rising R'N'B singer Bipolar Sunshine, let's see what he's got for us...

The first record I ever bought with my own money was…

"Nas - Illmatic... I can remember being really excited at the time as I was a huge Nas fan..."

The record that made me want to be in a band was…

"The Smiths - 'This Charming Man'... first time I heard it the melody fully took me over and I was enchanted with that sound."

The record I've played more than any other is…

"I always go back to 'Ben' by Michael Jackson.. I just feel it's timeless and suits all my different moods. Mad to think he was singing about his dead rat..."

The record that always make me feel good is…

"Alicia Myers' 'I Wanna Thank You'... her voice is angelic."

The record I turn to when I'm feeling down is…

"Coldplay - Sparks, I can't get enough of his vocal and the band arrangement... they just make classics."

The record I think is the most underrated of all time is…

"Jasmine Sullivan - Lions, Tigers And Bears. Love it."

The record with my favourite cover art is…

"Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy."

The record with my favourite title is…

"Suck It And See. You know."

The record I can't understand why everybody loves is…

"Nicholas McDonald - In The Arms Of An Angel."

The last record I bought was…

"A$AP Ferg - Trap Lord."

The record I'm most looking forward to hearing in 2014 is…

"The new albums from Coldplay and SBTRKT."

The greatest record of all time is…

"It is Michael Jackson - Off The Wall."

Bipolar Sunshine's new single 'Where Did The Love Go?' is out now, you can check that out along with the rest of his back catalogue in our download store.
