My Record Collection by Glass Animals' Dave Bayley

In My Record Collection, we dig down to the bottom of musicians' souls to find out what the most treasured parts of their record collection are. This week, it's the turn of Glass Animals' mainman Dave Bayley, let's see what he chooses...

The First Record I Ever Bought With My Own Money Was…

"I’m not totally sure - maybe it was Eminem, can't say for sure."

The Record I’ve Played More Than Any Other Is…

"That’s a tight race. I think winning right now is The Strokes' 'Is This It?'

The Record That Always Makes Me Feel Good Is…

"D’Angelo - Voodoo. So chill."

The Record I Turn To When I’m Feeling Down Is….

"Dr Dre's The Chronic 2001 - need to get some swagger back."

The Record I Think Is The Most Underrated Of All Time Is…

"I've got a few. Spank Rock's Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo - this should have been a colossal record, it’s amazing. Santogold – Santogold and Tom Vek's We Have Sound. Should have made them both superstars. Kings Of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak, it wasn’t really underrated but I think people forget their early records were absolutely incredible."

The Record With My Favourite Cover Art Is…

"Miles Davis' Bitches Brew. Klarwein has done some mega album covers."

The Record With My Favourite Title Is…

"Flying Lotus 'Cosmogramma', it sums up the album perfectly and it’s fun to say."

The Record I Can’t Understand Why Anybody Loves Is…

Oh I couldn’t say. That’s mean. Okay then One Direction. There really is nothing nice to say about their music."

The Last Record I Bought Was….

"Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail. Good record. Some very cool tracks on there."

The Record I’m Most Looking Forward To Hearing In 2014 Is….

"Kendrick Lamar’s new record."

The Greatest Record Of All Time Is…

"It's Glass Animals' Zaba! I'm kidding, probably Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon - it’s so experimental but still managed to be incredibly popular. Incredible."
