My Record Collection by New Found Glory's Jordan Pundik

In My Record Collection, we dig down to the bottom of musicians' souls to find out what the most treasured parts of their record collection are. This week, it's the turn of New Found Glory mainman Jordan Pundik, let's see what he's got for us...

The first record I ever bought with my own money was…

“It was Hole’s Live Through This and I remember going down to Camelot Music, which was a record store that is sadly not around anymore, it was a big chain in the States, but it’s gone now.”

The record that made me want to be in a band was…

“Green Day – Dookie. We’ve toured with them now and they’re great guys and amazing musicians, but it was all these great simple songs, it made me believe I could do it.”

The record I've played more than any other is…

“My Bloody Valentine – Loveless. I’ve loved that record since the moment I heard it in high school.”

The record that always make me feel good is…

“The Charlie Brown Christmas album, that’s what I listen to, it always cheers me up, especially if I’ve been away from home for a long time.”

The record I turn to when I'm feeling down is…

“There’s a record by Maria Taylor, she’s the singer from a band called Azure Ray, it’s called 11:11, it’s really, really good. Any of her solo stuff though, it’s all great.”

The record I think is the most underrated of all time is…

“I would say Knapsack – This Conversation Is Ending Starting Right Now. I love that band and they don’t get nearly enough attention.”

The record with my favourite cover art is…

“The Flaming Lips – Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, it’s just sick. It’s a George Salisbury artwork and his pieces are really cool.”

The record with my favourite title is…

“I’m drawing a blank…. Master Of Puppets, there you go, great title.”

The record I can't understand why everybody loves is…

“Big dumb radio rock. Seether, that’s a good example, I don’t see how people can relate to them, it just seems so false.”

The last record I bought was…

“Haim. It’s great, I’ve played it a lot.”

The record I'm most looking forward to hearing in 2015 is…

“If there’s a new Stone Roses record, I’d be stoked to hear that. They don’t move real fast though, but here’s hoping…”

The greatest record of all time is…

“I can’t pick just one, I just can’t. There are so many.”

New Found Glory's new album Resurrection is out now and can be previewed on the right hand side of the page.
