My Record Collection by ROAM's Alex Adam

In My Record Collection, we dig down to the bottom of musicians' souls to find out what the most treasured parts of their record collection are. This week, it's the turn of pop punkers ROAM guitarist, he's picked out a lot of Sum 41...

The first record I ever bought with my own money was…

"Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler. My dad’s car had broken down that week and he had to use a courtesy car for the week, AKNF happened to be in the glovebox of that car and I went out and bought it as soon as I got home."

The record that made me want to be in a band was…

"Coincidentally, also All Killer No Filler. I’d never heard that kind of music before and I loved it straight away."

The record I've played more than any other is…

"Being a massive Sum 41 fan boy here but Does This Look Infected happens to be the record I’ve played the most over the years. It has such a distinct sound and always takes me back to when I first heard it."

The record that always make me feel good is…

"I’d say Do You Feel by The Rocket Summer is a record that always makes me feel really happy, it’s really chill and super pop and upbeat which is awesome."

The record I turn to when I'm feeling down is…

"Anything by John Mayer is great when you’re feeling low because it’s really slow and chilled and just always cheers me up."

The record I think is the most underrated of all time is…

"The most underrated album for me is probably 61 Penn by Crucial Dudes. They never really took off as they quit straight after releasing the album and as such it never really gained the popularity it deserved."

The record with my favourite cover art is…

"I really like the cover art to Dookie by Green Day. There’s so much going on and it’s just iconic."

The record with my favourite title is…

"Gotta be All Killer No Filler again. It’s very confident and self assured in an almost piss take way which is awesome."

The last record I bought was…

"I honestly couldn’t tell you, it's been a while..."

The record I'm most looking forward to hearing in 2016 is…

"The new Simple Plan album should be insane judging by the singles so I’m really excited to hear that."

The greatest record of all time is…

"All Killer No Filler."
