Neil Young announces full details of new orchestral album Storytone

Neil Young has announced full details of his new album Storytone.

The iconic rocker will release the album, his second of 2014 and the 35th of his career, on November 3rd.

The album features Young being backed by a 92-piece orchestra and includes 'Who's Gonna Stand Up?', a track he recently released to coincide with the People's Climate Marches around the world. There will be two editions of the album, one recorded solo, the other featuring the orchestra and a choir.

Storytone was recorded at Jack White's Third Man Studios in Nashville, in the studio's vintage vinyl booth.

The album follows the release of A Letter Home, a covers album Young put out back in April of this year. You can preview that on the right-hand side of the page.

The tracklisting for Storytone is as follows:

'Plastic Flowers'
'Who's Gonna Stand Up?'
'I Want To Drive My Car'
'Glimmer'
'Say Hello To Chicago'
'Tumbleweed'
'Like You Used To Do'
'I'm Glad I Found You'
'When I Watch You Sleeping'
'All Those Dreams'
