Robbie Williams to receive Icon Award at 2017 BRIT Awards

Robbie Williams will pick up the 2017 Icon Award at the BRIT Awards next year. 

Williams is a prolific BRIT award winner with 17 already under his belt. He has already been honoured with the Outstanding Contribution To Music award, but will now add the Icon award to his collection. 

Speaking about the award BRIT Awards boss Geoff Taylor said: "He is one of our greatest ambassadors and we are proud to recognise his exceptional talents with our highest accolade - A BRITs Icon Award. We look forward to celebrating his achievements with a spectacular show on ITV."

To celebrate the award Williams will play a one-off London show at the Troxy which will then be broadcast on ITV. He said of this and the award: "It's a real honour for me to be given this award and I can't wait to play songs from my new album, and from my catalogue, at Troxy. The BRIT Awards are very special to me, and I'm humbled to be receiving the 18th of my career next month."

The singer's new album Heavy Entertainment Show will hit shelves on November 4th and is available to pre-order on the right-hand side of the page.
