Simon Cowell: "One Direction will make two more albums"

Simon Cowell has spoken about the future of One Direction and has said he believes they will make at least two more albums.

The music mogul, who has the group signed to his Syco label, has said that the band will be around for a while, but has conceded they will all try solo careers eventually.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Cowell said when asked if the group would split anytime soon: "Bands don't stay together forever. I think they will make at least two more albums together and they are in the middle of one right now."

Then asked if singer Harry Styles would be pursuing a solo career in the near future, he replied: "No, I don't think that is going to happen for a while. Eventually I am sure they all will."

One Direction themselves recently promised that their new album would be "more edgy" and revealed that they have "written almost every song" on the follow-up to 2013's Midnight Memories.
