Prepare to meet your new favourite band! Following in the recent footsteps of Royal Blood and Lonely The Brave, Leeds based Marmozets are bringing rock back to the mainstream in what is quite possibly the best debut album you'll hear this year.
What's so great about the album is that there is no filler. No song overstays its welcome it feels just the perfect length. Each of the 13 riff filled tracks are absolutely rammed with ideas and surprises but never does it feel forced or over complicated.
The variety on show is also great from Becca Mcintyre's pop punk vocals on catchy single 'Why Do You Hate Me' reminiscent of Paramore's 'Misery Business' to the mathcore growls heard by the likes of Rolo Tomassi in "Vibetech".
Stand out track 'Is It Horrible' builds from a simple guitar and vocals into one almighty sound and a chorus that just thrills from each line to the next. There's also the recent single 'Captivate You' which is the closest thing to a ballad on the album were it not for the soaring guitars which elevate it into something else.
It's clear to see why they are being touted as one of the most exciting new bands to come around as they have made an almost perfect rock record.
