The Black Keys cancel their UK tour after shoulder injury to drummer Patrick Carney
The Black Keys have been forced to cancel their UK arena tour after drummer Patrick Carney sustained a shoulder injury.
The duo, who released their eighth studio album Turn Blue (which you can preview on the right-hand side of the page) last year, were due to play six UK arena dates, starting next month, but will now not be able to play the shows.
The dates will not be rescheduled and all ticket buyers should contact their point of purchase to obtain a refund.
The band said in a statement about the cancellation: “We are very sorry to have to cancel our upcoming performances through March 10. Patrick needs time to heal. We thank all of our fans for their support and we’re looking forward to getting back on the road.”
The Black Keys will resume their tour in Australia in April and will still headline this summer's Isle Of Wight Festival.
The affected shows are as follows:
Manchester Arena (February 27)
Birmingham LG Arena (28)
Glasgow Hydro (March 1)
London O2 Arena (3)
Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (4)
Leeds First Direct Arena (5)
