This Week's New Albums: October 13th 2017
Beck, Robert Plant, P!nk and Scouting For Girls are among the artists with new albums out this week.
P!nk - Beautiful Trauma
The singer returns with her seventh studio album and her first since 2012’s The Truth About Love.
Featuring production from frequent Olly Murs collaborator Steve Mac, Bleachers' Jack Antonoff, songwriter supreme Max Martin and the aforementioned Greg Kurstin, the album sees the singer head into fiery political territory with tracks like ‘Barbies’ and ‘What About Us’.
Beck - Colors
It’s taken Beck Hansen three years to deliver the follow-up to his mournful 2014 effort Morning Phase, but he returns next month with the altogether brighter Colors.
Greg Kurstin is at the controls and between him and Hansen they’ve cooked up a groove-laden collection for the dark winter nights.
Robert Plant - Carry Fire
The Led Zeppelin frontman returns next month with his 11th LP as a solo artist and his second with the Sensational Space Shifters serving as his backing band.
The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde makes a guest appearance, duetting with Plant on a new rendition of Ersel Hickey's 'Bluebirds over the Mountain'.
St. Vincent - Masseducation
Annie Clark’s fifth studio LP arrives this week, her first new output since her 2014 self-titled effort.
Jenny Lewis and Clark’s former partner Cara Delevingne provide backing vocals, while Kamasi Washington lends a hand with some saxophone.
Produced largely with Bleachers mainman Jack Antonoff, the album has been described by Clark as "all about sex and drugs and sadness".
L.A. Guns - The Missing Place
The hard rockers release their 11th studio album and their first for 15 years with both singer Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns in the band.
Cara Dillon - Wanderer
The Irish folk songstress reveals her seventh studio album this week.
William Patrick Corgan - Ogilala

The Smashing Pumpkins mainman unveils his second solo album and his first under the name William Patrick Corgan.
The album was co-produced by Corgan with Rick Rubin, and does not feature Corgan's longtime collaborator Bjorn Thorsrud. It does, however, feature a guest appearance from Corgan's former bandmate James Iha.
