"It was the studio's decision, but it's the right one" - Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli on bringing the series to an end

Oren Peli, creator of Paranormal Activity, has explained why Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is the final instalment in the Paranormal Activity series.

Speaking to hmv.com about the series coming to a close, Peli said that though it was the decision of Paramount Pictures to bring the series to a halt, he believes it is the right time too.

He said when asked why the series was ending: "It was the studio’s decision, but I think it’s the right one. We’ve had a good run and the fans have been incredible. We’ve expanded the mythology of the story further than I ever thought we could."

He continued: "We’ve asked a lot of questions during the films and in this film we answer a lot of them and bring everything to a conclusion, it makes sense that this is the last chapter.”

The rest of the interview with Peli will be published when Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension is released on DVD.
