Avatar 2 pulled from Christmas 2017 release date

Avatar 2 has been delayed once again and will now not emerge in December 2017.

The sequel to the hugely successful adventure movie was originally due to be in cinemas by Christmas 2016, but was delayed at the start of 2015 until the end of 2017.

Now, according to The Wrap, it has been delayed once again, with no new release date replacing the latest one of December 2017.

The report states that Disney's decision to move the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens to December 2017 may have had some bearing on the decision, but it also may simply be due to production delays.

Director James Cameron has previously confirmed that he will shooting three sequels to Avatar, which were planned to be released at the age of every year up until 2019.
