Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice adds new composer
Batman and Superman will see their scenes in the upcoming blockbuster Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice scored by different composers.
Hans Zimmer, who scored each of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, will work with DJ/producer Junkie XL on the score for the new blockbuster.
Zimmer told Comic Book Resources that he would be taking care of Superman's scenes, with XL, whose real name is Tom Holkenborg, handling Batman.
He said: "I have agonised over it. I agonised over it, so much so that finally, I went, I don't want to betray what Chris [Nolan], James Newton Howard and I did. And so I asked Zack [Snyder] if it would be okay if I called a friend in. And I'm going to be working with Junkie XL, who really is a great friend. I told him 'You take care of Batman. I'll do the other guy'."
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently being filmed, with the bulk of production taking place in Michigan and Chicago.
Ben Affleck will make his debut as Batman with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman. Gal Gadot is confirmed to make her debut as Wonder Woman, with The Social Network star Jesse Eisenberg taking on the role of Lex Luthor. Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons and Laurence Fishburne also have key roles in the new blockbuster.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently scheduled to be released on March 25th 2016.
