(September 5th, BBC One)
Mike Bartlett’s dark and twisted melodrama was a megahit when it screened in 2015 and it now returns for a second run for both Suranne Jones and Bertie Carvel back to lead the way.
The story of a suburban GP whose life begins to unravel when she discovers her husband is in the middle of an affair and pushing them into financial ruin, the second series will pick up two years after the affair, with the dust anything but settled.
Bartlett has promised “a descent into hell” and, given over 10 million people tuned in last time to watch the epic finale of the first series, we expect even bigger fireworks this time around…
(Starts September 7th, Sky Atlantic)
Tim Roth plays Jim Worth, a hardened police detective who has left began some troubles in London and started a new life as the Chief of Police in a rural town in the Rocky Mountains.
His hopes of a quiet life are quickly dashed by an influx of migrant workers from a new big oil company, headed by the mysterious Mrs. Bradshaw, who bring with them a wave of crime that threatens his town.
Deciding to take a stand against the criminals results in assassins attacking him and his family, leading Worth to revive his violent alter-ego, Jack Devlin, to enact revenge. Bloody revenge.
Starring alongside Roth are Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’s Genevieve O’Reilly and Hell On Wheels' Christopher Heyerdahl.
Rowan Joffe, writer/director of Before I Go To Sleep, has created and is the driving force behind this 10-part series.
(Starts September 11th, ITV1)
After making a successful return in 2016 from its 13-year break, the beloved comedy drama returns for a seventh run in September.
John Thomson, Hermione Norris, Robert Bathurst, Fay Ripley and John Thomson all return for the seventh run, while Badly Drawn Boy is set to make a guest appearance.

Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Frances Conroy, Mare Winningham, Emma Roberts and Chaz Bono are all back for the new season.
Joining them are new cast members Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Colton Haynes, Alison Pill and Lena Dunham.
Details of the plot are a closely guarded secret, but we do know it’ll start on election night and there are a lot of creepy clowns...
(Air Date TBC, Sky Living)
It’s now 14 seasons and counting for the hugely successful medical drama, which returns to screens next month.
At the close of season 13, Grey Sloan Hospital had been ravaged by fire, so it’s fair to say that things will be a little different for the show’s next 24-episode run, which begins later this month.
This season will be the first not to feature Jerrika Hinton as Dr. Stephanie Edwards, while former Glee star Matthew Morrison looks set for a much bigger role this time.
