Christoph Waltz set to star in Bond 24?
Christoph Waltz, best known for his Oscar winning turns in Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained, has reportedly signed up to star in the new James Bond film.
According to the Daily Mail, a source has told them that Waltz has signed up to join the cast of the film, which is still currently called Bond 24.
Asked Waltz would play the film's villain, one source said: "It’s not immediately evident whether the part’s friend, or foe, or a bit of both", while another said that the character Waltz has signed up for is "...extremely cunning. A nemesis of sorts."
The report goes on to say that Waltz has already met with director Sam Mendes and most of the film's cast, including Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear and Blue Is The Warmest Colour star Lea Seydoux, who is strongly rumoured to have a role in the film.
Earlier this month it was reported that Dave Bautista, best known for playing man mountain Drax in this summer's box-office hit Guardians Of The Galaxy, will also have a role in Bond 24.
Skyfall director Sam Mendes will return to the director's chair for the next James Bond film, which has a script from John Logan.
The film is set to be Daniel Craig's penultimate outing as Bond, with the actor now only contracted for two more films. The film is currently scheduled to be released on October 23rd in 2015.
