Danny Dyer reveals he's been turned down three times for a part in Game Of Thrones

Eastenders star Danny Dyer has revealed he has been turned down for a role on Game Of Thrones three times.

Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, the actor told the host that he'd auditioned for the show on multiple occasions, but had been knocked back every time.

Asked whether he'd appear on the HBO fantasy drama, he said: "I've been up for it three times, I got three knockbacks

Dyer also revealed that he quite fancied playing both Sherlock and Doctor Who, adding: "I think that I could play Sherlock... if I did it my way. Benedict [Cumberbatch] is brilliant and the lines roll off his tongue, but that role is about being highly intelligent rather than posh. I think I could do Doctor Who as well."

The fourth season of Game Of Thrones will be released on DVD on February 16th. The fifth season will be shown on TV later this year, you can see the trailer below.
