End confirmed for hit dramas Pretty Little Liars and Grimm

Long-running dramas Pretty Little Liars and Grimm are to end at the climax of their current season.

Pretty Little Liars, which began its run back at the start of 2011, will end at the climax of its seventh season.

The show's cast confirmed the news in a video made on set, you can see it below:

Pretty Little Liars told the story of four teenage friends whose friendship group falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison DiLaurentis. One year later, the estranged friends are reunited as they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure named A who threatens to expose their deepest secrets.

Supernatural cop drama Grimm, meanwhile, is to end after six seasons on the air.

The show, which followed the fortunes of Nick Buckhardt, a hard-working cop in Portland who suddenly discovers that he is a descendant from a family of supernatural hunters known as Grimms, began its run at the end of 2011.

Its final 13-episode run will be broadcast on US TV next year.
