Episode titles revealed for Sherlock's fourth series
Just a week on from Sherlock's win at the Emmys, where Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss saw their Christmas special The Abominable Bride named best made-for-TV movie, the BBC have now revealed the first two episode titles from the show's fourth series, due to air in 2017. The episode titles were teased via a tweet from BBC One on Sunday:
Only the titles for the series' first two episodes have been revealed so far and with Moffat and co. remaining tight-lipped on details about the new series, but they have based several previous episodes on existing Sherlock Holmes novels and Digital Spy has speculated that the titles could be linked to some of Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories about the Baker Street-dwelling detective; 'The Six Thatchers' is thought to be based on The Adventure of The Six Napoleons, with 'The Lying Detective' assumed to be an adaptation of The Adventure of The Dying Detective.
The new series is due to arrive early in the new year, you can find a teaser trailer below...
