A stellar voice cast, including Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and Tori Kelly.

 

And Who’s Behind The Camera?

Garth Jennings, who directed both Son Of Rambow and The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, takes charge of this, working from his own script.

In a city entirely populated by animals we begin with the McConaughey voiced Buster Moon, a showbiz obsessed koala who has opened his own theatre. Struggling to put bums on seats and with the bank closing in he decides to try and save his theatre by putting on a talent contest, one that attracts singing animals of all shapes and sizes...

What Is It?

The third instalment of the hugely successful animated movie series, we can’t get enough of those minions...

 

Who’s In It?

Steve Carrell, Kristen Wiig, Trey Parker and Miranda Cosgrove lend their voices to the new film.

 

And Who’s Behind The Camera?

Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda return for a third time, but the movie is also this time co-directed by Eric Guillon.

 

Any Plot Details?

This time we follow Gru and his minions as he faces off against Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who grows up to become obsessed with the character he played in the 1980s. As well as this he also winds up getting into some sibling rivalry when he meets his long lost twin brother, Dru.

Pixar’s newest adventure, due at the end of 2017, this time we’re all going on a trip to Mexico...

Lee Unkrich, who has Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc on his CV, not a bad track record. He works from a script from The Good Dinosaur writer Adrian Molina.

 

Any Plot Details?

This time we're in Mexico around the time of Dia de los Muertos and we're with follows a 12-year-old boy named Miguel, a 12-year old boy who sets off a chain of events relating to a century-old mystery, leading to an extraordinary family reunion.

The beloved children’s novel series gets a big screen outing this summer.

David Soren, director of 2013 animation Turbo, is in the director’s chair while Bad Neighbours’ Nicholas Stoller writes the script.

This story follows two mischievous high schoolers who hatch a plan to hypnotise their tyrannical high school principal and turn him into their comic book creation, the kind-hearted and elastic-banded Captain Underpants.

In this new movie we follow Lovato’s Smurfette after she encounters a creature in the Forbidden Forest who drops a mysterious map, a discovery which prompts her to set off with her friends Brainy, Clumsy, and Hefty on an adventure to find the Lost Village before the evil wizard Gargamel does.

Will Arnett returns to voice Batman and he is joined by Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes, Mariah Carey, Jenny Slate and Billy Dee Williams to provide voices.

Chris McKay, who has directed over 40 episodes of hit animated series Robot Chicken, has this one.

The caped crusader goes on a personal journey to find himself and learn the importance of teamwork and friendship in this new movie. Of course he also has to save Gotham City from a hostile takeover set by The Joker.

What Is It?

The hugely successful range of horsey toys make the jump to the big screen later this year.

 

Who’s In It?

The long-running TV series’ regular cast are all on duty here, but they are joined by some big-name guest stars, including Kristin Chenoweth, Emily Blunt, Michael Peña, Uzo Aduba, Liev Schreiber, Taye Diggs and Sia.

 

And Who’s Behind The Camera?

Jayson Thiessen, who has been the mainman for the TV series, stays on to direct the big-screen adaptation.

 

Any Plot Details?

This movie finds the Mane Six (that’s Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity for the uninitiated) as they are forced to leave their hometown of Equestria to stop outside forces bringing destruction.
