The first trailer for Straight Outta Compton, the new Hollywood biopic of the early years of iconic rap collection N.W.A., has been unveiled, scroll down and click to watch it.
Paul Giamatti, who has starred in both 12 Years A Slave and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, plays the group's manager Jerry Heller, with Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. playing his father in the film, Jason Mitchell playing Eazy-E and Corey Hawkins starring as Dr. Dre.
Straight Outta Compton is being directed by F. Gary Gray, with NWA members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre as well as Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright producing the film.
The trailer shows the film's no-holds barred look at the group's formation, Heller's influence over them and their endless run ins with law enforcement in their early years. It also features an introduction from the real-life Dr Dre and Ice Cube, with the pair driving back to Compton to see their old neighbourhood.
The film is due for release in August of this year.
