Friday Night Lights' Adrianne Palicki set for role in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

Adrianne Palicki, star of Friday Night Lights and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, is set for a role in the new series of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Palicki to set to take the role of Marvel superspy Bobbi Morse, best known to fans as Mockingbird, in the upcoming series. 

Palicki, who has recently starred in About A Boy, the US TV adaptation of Nick Hornby's much loved novel, is set to arrive in the fifth episode of the show's new series, with the potential to return in the future. 

The actress is the latest in a slew of guest stars heading to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D's second series. She joins Kyle MacLachlan, Lucy Lawless, Reed Diamond, Nick Blood, Henry Simmons and Simon Kassianides in being announced as a part of the show's second run. 

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D returns for a second season on September 23rd in the US, it will air on Channel 4 in the UK.
