The Alejandro González Iñárritu directed epic scored 12 nominations in all, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Supporting Actor for Tom Hardy, Best Director and a slew of technical nods.

George Miller's much-loved blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road landed 10 nominations and will battle with The Revenant for Best Picture along with The Big Short, Bridge Of Spies, Brooklyn, The Martian, Room and Spotlight.

Also well represented are The Martian, which picked up seven nominations, Bridge Of Spies, which scored six as well as Carol and Spotlight, which both scored six too.
