hmv.com presents… 50 Films to get you excited for 2015! #1 Blockbusters

2014 is almost at an end and it’s been a pretty damn great year for movies, we’ve had Guardians Of The Galaxy, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, 12 Years A Slave, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Edge Of Tomorrow, Nightcrawler, the list goes on and on.

But, the thing is, 2015 is shaping up to be even better and we’re going to prove it to you. Over the next few days we’re going to be previewing 50 films that are hitting the big screen in 2015 and they all look outstanding…

Today, we start with the blockbusters, the big hitters, the ones with budgets that clear $100 million, here are the big 10…

Jurassic World

What Is It?

Seriously? It’s Jurassic Park! Dinosaurs!

Any plot details?

This is what we know. 22 years after Jurassic Park arrived, we return to Isla Nublar to revisit the park and find out what’s been going on. John Hammond’s dream has finally been realised and Jurassic World is now a working theme park. Trouble is, the paying customers are getting bored, so the park’s geneticists have been tasked with coming up with something new and have created a new genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, trouble is, they can’t control it…

Who’s In It?

Parks And Recreation and Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt leads the way as Owen, a member of the park’s onsite staff, with Bryce Dallas Howard confirmed to play Claire, the park operations manager who oversees the development of the new hybrid. Judy Greer, New Girl’s Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins and Omar Sy also star in the new blockbuster.

Star War: The Force Awakens

What Is It?

Star War. Come on guys…

Any Plot Details?

We know almost nothing. The only thing we know is that it’s set 30 years after the events after Return Of The Jedi. Even minor cast members haven’t seen the full Star Wars script, security is that tight.

Who’s In It?

Original Star Wars stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew are returning for the new film, with Andy Serkis, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson and Lupita Nyong'o are among the new faces in the cast.

When Can I See It?

December 18th next year. So far away it’s almost not fair…

Who’s In It?

The same leading lights as this year’s Part One, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and the sadly departed Philip Seymour Hoffman. Julianne Moore and Natalie Dormer, who debuted earlier this year, will play even bigger roles in the next chapter.

When Can I See It?

November 20th next year, that’s when it all comes down.
