"She's so funny because she has no sense of humour whatsoever..." hmv.com talks to Nicholas Hytner & Alex Jennings about The Lady in the Van

As you may or may not know, playwright Alan Bennett spent 15 years enduring the presence of an elderly lady named Mary Shepherd, who lived in a van parked in his driveway the entire time. Having kept a diary about her antics, Bennett eventually turned the story into a play, but now director Nicholas Hytner has transported the story onto the big screen.

The Lady in the Van hits DVD shelves on Monday (March 7th), so we sat down with Hytner and Alex Jennings, who plays Bennett, to discuss filming in Bennett's old house, playing two versions of the playwright at once, and working with legendary actress Maggie Smith.
