Jessica Chastain joins Jake Gyllenhaal in blockbuster adaptation of Tom Clancy's The Division

Crimson Peak star Jessica Chastain has signed up to join Jake Gyllenhaal in a big-screen adaptation of megahit video game Tom Clancy's The Division. 

The game is a third-person shooter is set in a dystopian New York City in the aftermath of a smallpox pandemic.

The character Gyllenhaal will likely play is an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division, commonly referred to as simply “The Division,” is tasked with helping to rebuild the Division’s operations in Manhattan, investigating the nature of the outbreak and combating criminal activity in its wake.

There is no word on which role Chastain will take as yet. No director is currently attached to the project. 

There's no release date for the movie scheduled as yet.
