Jude Law set to play villain in Guy Ritchie's King Arthur

Jude Law is reportedly in talks to take the role of the villain in Guy Ritchie's new adaptation of King Arthur. 

The A.I star looks set to join the cast of the new big-budget adaptation, which is due for release in July 2016. He and Ritchie have previoiusly worked together on both Sherlock Holmes. 

Sons Of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam will lead the film as King Arthur, with Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey playing Guinevere. 

The film, which is to be titled King Arthur: Knights Of The Round Table, and, according to Variety, is the first of six planned instalments. 

Joby Harold wrote the the script and is producing with Ritchie, Lionel Wigram, Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunnell. The film is scheduled to open on July 22nd 2016. 

Jude Law will next be seen on screen in submarine drama Black Sea, which is due for release on December 5th.
