Long-delayed X-Men spin-off Gambit gets a new release date
Gambit, the long-delayed X-Men spin-off which will star Channing Tatum in the title role, has been given a new release date.
The movie was due to hit cinemas in October of 2016 but was then removed from schedules after the departure of director Doug Liman.
The film now has Pirates Of The Caribbean/A Cure For Wellness man Gore Verbinski in the director's chair and has been given a new release date of February 14th in 2019.
Gambit, who was previously portrayed by Taylor Kitsch in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is a mutant who can mentally create, control and manipulate pure kinetic energy to his every whim and desire.
He is also incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in card-throwing, hand-to-hand combat, and the use of a bō.
