Matt Damon opens up about the plans for Bourne 5

Matt Damon has opened up about his return to the role of Jason Bourne.

The new movie, which is currently just known as Bourne 5, will feature Damon returning to the role of Jason Bourne and see director Paul Greengrass return to the director's chair.

Julia Stiles will also return, with Vincel Cassel, Tommy Lee Jones and The Danish Girl star Alicia Vikander new additions to the cast.

Speaking about his return, Damon told Entertainment Weekly: "There's been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyberwarfare and civil liberties. We find him in a dark and tortured place. Without giving too much of it away, it's Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world."

Bourne 5 will be released on July 29th in 2016. You can purchase all four previous instalments of the series here in our online store.
