Narcos' Boyd Holbrook to replace Benicio Del Toro as star of Shane Black's Predator reboot

Benicio Del Toro has dropped out of a starring role in Shane Black's new instalment of the Predator franchise and has been replaced by Narcos star Boyd Holbrook.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, scheduling conflicts have led to Del Toro exiting the project with 20th Century Fox now targeting Holbrook, who will next be seen as the villain in new Wolverine movie Logan, to lead the movie.

The film, which currently has the working title of Ollie, has been by Black and RoboCop 3 writer Fred Dekker.

The movie is the fourth in the series of Predator movies, or sixth if you count the two Alien vs Predator movies, and will follow on Nimrod Antal's 2010 reboot Predators. It's unknown if any of the other cast members from that movie will return.

The Predator will be released on March 2nd in 2018.
