Release date for Mission: Impossible 6 confirmed

The release date for the sixth instalment of Mission: Impossible has been unveiled.

The announcement of a sixth movie had been long rumoured, but had been held up by salary negotiations with star Tom Cruise, negotiations that have now been successfully resolved.

The next film has now been confirmed to arrive in cinemas on July 27th in 2018. Director Christopher McQuarrie, who made previous instalment Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, will return to direct, a first for the series which had previously seen four different directors take charge.

There has been no official confirmation on the return of anyone except Cruise, so we will have to wait and see Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson and Ving Rhames will return for the franchise's sixth outing.
