Rupert Grint to star in and produce in TV adaptation of Guy Ritchie's Snatch

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint is to star in a new TV adaptation of Guy Ritchie's gangster hit Snatch.

Starring alongside Grint will be Enigma's Dougray Scott and Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick. It will be produced for Sony's new service Crackle, with UK broadcast details still to be confirmed. 

According to Deadline, Grint will play posh con man, Charlie Cavendish with Scott playing Vic Hill, who continues the con game from inside prison and Westwick playing nightclub owner Sonny Castillo.

Production will get underway in the next few weeks in Manchester, with broadcast planned for 2017.
