Rush's Daniel Brühl to star in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War

Daniel Brühl, star of Rush and Inglourious Basterds, has been confirmed to star in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War.

The actor, whose role has not been disclosed as yet, will join Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jnr and Chadwick Boseman, newly cast as Black Panther, in the third instalment of Captain America.

Speaking about the announcement on Friday (November 14th), Marvel studios mainman Kevin Feige said: "With Daniel's ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes."

Captain America: Civil War is due for release on May 6th, 2016.

The film's release date was confirmed as part of an announcement last month that confirmed Marvel Studio's plans for the next five years.

Among the films announced were the third instalment of Thor, the final two instalments of the Avengers, the sequel to Guardians Of The Galaxy and new adaptations of Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Inhumans. You can read more on that here.
