Sausage Party's Conrad Vernon to direct the long-awaited Jetsons movie
Conrad Vernon, best known for his work on bawdy animation Sausage Party, has signed up to direct the long-awaited big-screen adaptation of The Jetsons.
The Jetsons began life as a cartoon series back in 1962 and showcased the everyday adventures of a family living in a futuristic utopia of elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms and so much more.
The show throughout the 1960s and also produced an animated movie, 1990's Jetsons: The Movie, but ever since then producers have been trying to develop a reboot for the family.
Over the years various studios and directors, including Adam Shankman and Robert Rodriguez, have been attached to make live-action versions of the story, but now it looks set to be animated once again.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Vernon, who has also worked on more family friendly movies like Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and Monsters Vs. Aliens, will begin work immediately.
